About the Client:

Refuge III Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ is a faith-based community in Seguin, Texas, committed to spreading the word of God and uplifting its congregation. With a mission to inspire worship and spiritual growth, the church wanted to establish a unified visual identity and enhance its online presence.

The Challenge:

Refuge III Church needed a consistent and meaningful brand identity that reflected its mission of outreach, unity, and faith. The goal was to create a logo and brand guidelines that embodied their core values while ensuring seamless application across all communication platforms. Additionally, they required a user-friendly website to engage their congregation and extend their message.

The Solution:

To help Refuge III Church achieve its goals, I delivered:


  • Logo Design:
    • Created a distinctive logo featuring a central cross symbolizing Christian faith, surrounded by three concentric circles representing outreach, unity, and the “III” in the church’s name. Gold and navy were chosen for their representation of divinity, stability, and power.
  • Brand Guidelines:
    • Developed comprehensive guidelines detailing logo usage, color schemes (gold and navy palettes), typography (Baskerville Old Face and Oswald), and visual systems to ensure brand consistency across materials.
  • Website Development:
    • Designed and launched a responsive, visually appealing website featuring service times, church events, and online giving options. The site incorporates their new branding for a cohesive online presence.
